About This Cookbook
This digital cookbook is the online home of the Taghavian Family Cookbook originally designed as a printed PDF. It captures the meals that appear most often on our table — the ones the boys ask for by name, the ones that travel well to lake houses and soccer tournaments, and the ones that taste like home.
The design language of the original book (bold titles, comic-book energy, warm kitchen illustrations) inspired this website. Every recipe is written exactly as it appears in the family binder and PDF so the next generation can cook them the same way.
How to add new recipes: See the README file that came with this website folder. It contains a simple template and step-by-step instructions so anyone in the family can add a new favorite without coding knowledge.
Core Values Behind the Food
- Real ingredients and homemade bone broth whenever possible
- Recipes that scale for a family of four (or more)
- Techniques that reward patience (slow braises, proper curing, reverse sears)
- A little Persian heritage, a little California, and a lot of shared plates
